I know this has been brought up before but I have to bring it up again:

With AUD's like these who needs SBD's. First time I'm listening on the stereo and am realizing this is a superfantastic recording of a splendid show. Stranger opener is on fire!! Then Althea, holy mackerel!! A fine CC, then Ramble on Rose Fan-freakin-tastic - listen for the crowd singing along you can tell this is a special moment. El Paso, then a real nice Deep Elem. BIODTL gets a little rough in spots but the boys make up for it with a real nice Bird Song (good stuff going on here). Then we have a solid Minglewood to close the set.

China > Rider woooooo hooooo!!!

Well you get the idea. . .

Yeah we should, I was at the 3-9 show also. If you want to hop on a train and take it to Babylon my house is a short walk from the station. We could go out for a sail and listen to some good discs on the boom box. Where in Queens are you?

Sounds good, one of my old college friends is in Brooklyn, maybe we could get together and head into Brooklyn. My friend keeps inviting me to his "Club" for dinner, It is called the Montauk Club but it is in Brooklyn and is some really old waspy social club that is being resurrected by the younger Brooklynites. I went last year and it was a good place to chill, eat some food and tell stories.

I find myself enjoying the AUDs more than SBDs because of the 'you are there' feel of the audience noises. There are an awful lot of really good quality AUD's on LMA (enough to keep me happy anyway). It seems there are new ones being added almost daily too.

i say it sorta jokingly, because of course i love a good soundboard, but as you said, i too love the vibe that rolls off the audience from a really, really excellent AUD recording, which i find more often with JGB shows than i do the GD, for obvious reasons of course; to me, a quality audience recording, with a good mix, beats out a soundboard 9 times out of 10
